What is your advice for upcoming cross country runners?
My advice for upcoming cross country runners would be to have a routine and condition during the summer months to be in shape for the season.
What’s your favorite pre-run meal?
My favorite pre-run meal would have to be chicken and rice. It fuels me to have a successful run.
What’s your favorite weather to have a run in?
My favorite weather to run and have a meet in is cloudy. Weather in the 60’s, low 70’s is perfect running conditions for me.
How do you stay motivated through a run?
The best way for me to stay motivated and focused throughout a run would be to focus on the end goal. Knowing I can have the stamina to make it through the race provides me with relief.
Do you prefer a training routine or do you like to train at your own pace ?
I like to train at my own pace. As I warm up I will start to run faster to make sure I’m practicing a realistic speed.
What do you love most about your sport ?
The thing I love most about cross country is it’s a relaxing yet challenging sport, you get to complete against other great runners and I just love the competition.
What athlete do you look up to the most ?
The athlete I look up to the most is Lebron James ,he’s the ultimate winner. I look up to him to inspire to be like him. His work ethic is why I look up to him.
What are your personal goals as the season goes on ?
My personal goals are to just be able to run faster for a longer period of time.
How do you balance school and athletics at Penn?
I balance school and athletics at Penn by taking time out of my day for each, I will run for a little bit, take a break and do my schoolwork. Balance is key.
