Football: Penn’s Noah Wallis getting D-I attention

Published on

Fast, Physical, and aggressive.

That’s Noah Wallis, the sophomore starting linebacker for Penn High School in 2025, and it’s catching the attention of college football recruiters from Notre Dame to Georgia.

Wallis is a 6-foot-215-pound linebacker with great potential.

Wallis is going into his 2026 season switching positions from Outside linebacker to strong safety.

“I think this is a good switch for the team and me,” Wallis said. “It’s going to help my development for the next level and make me a more well-rounded player, so colleges can play me where they need me.”

Wallis, who runs the 100-meter dash for the Penn Boys Track & Field Team, is ready for his Junior season to dominate on the field and show colleges his talent.

Wallis has already emerged as a team leader.

“On the field, he pushes the entire defense to come up and play at a whole different level,” Penn linebacker Jonathan Searfoss said of Wallis. “At practice, he wants everyone to know their job and do it right. He leads by example and motivates the team.”

Wallis led Penn’s legendary ‘Wild Bunch’ defense as a Sophomore with 59 primary tackles and 17 assisted tackles. He also had two QB sacks and five tackles for loss, along with a blocked punt and a scoop-and-score. These stats alone make him stand out as one of the best linebackers in the state of Indiana.
