NorthWood High School will be conducting a Food Drive for the Center Food Pantry at FDCD at its Football scrimmage with Penn on Friday, Aug. 15.
The scrimmage at NorthWood’s Andrews Field is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.
Admission is free, and fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable canned food items to donate at the gate.
Penn and NorthWood are perennial state powers in Class 6-A and Class 4-A respectively.
Coach Pete Riordan’s Penn Kingsmen finished the season with an 8-3 record in 2024.
NorthWood, coached by Nate Andrews, posted a 6-6 record in 2024.
Penn hits the road for the regular season opener, travelling to Valparaiso to play the Vikings on Friday, Aug. 22. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
