Corbin O´Hara, one of Penn´s strongest golfers (figuratively and physically) was not always what he seems to be. Before he learned the importance of discipline and consistency he was a different person.
¨During Covid-19 was when I finally looked into the mirror I didn´t like what was looking back at me. My physical health and golf wasn’t that important to me back then,” O’Hara said.
During the pandemic, O’Hara took an opportunity to motivate himself to make a change.
“This was the time to do something, this was the time to truly unlock my full potential through consistency and discipline,” O’Hara said.
He said he started out with small changes to his diet and routine, but eventually it led to waking up at dawn to golf, hitting the driving range later that day, to finishing the night off with a workout.
O’Hara’s discipline over his life expanded into his golf practices and mindset. Wanting to truly develop improvement in golf, he would choose to do tournaments ranging from all over instead of hanging out with friends.
His father says his son’s dedication to the sport is evident.
“Whenever we are hitting on 18 Corbin is adamant that if he ever misses a shot, to retake that shot 10 times over to make sure it never happens again,¨ Mr. O’Hara said. ¨The two things Corbin takes the most serious in his life are golf and his own well being, choosing that over anything else for it isn’t what he wants, it’s what needs to be done”.
