Penn Boys Track and Field took on some of the top teams in the state at the Ben Davis Relays on Saturday, April 16, 2022. The Kingsmen competed well, placing fourth.
Penn finished with 82 points, just eight points less than second place.
Kevin Murphy placed third in the 100-meter dash and secured seven points for Penn.
In the 1600, Nick Probst and Elijah Poorman combined to place fifth.
Austin Wells placed fifth in the 300 hurdles with a time of 44.07 seconds.
Penn placed second in the 4×800 relay with a time of 8:27.76, the 4×400 relay placed second, and the 4×110 shuttle hurdle relay placed third.
In the high jump competition, Blake Barker and Skjold Aallmann placed second with a combined jump of 11-6.
Joey Rutten pole vaulted 13-6 for second place.
Aaron Smith accomplished a personal record in long jump with a distance of 20-6 for fifth place.
Mike Paquette threw the discus 161 feet to earn third place.
