The Penn Kingsmen boys tennis team came out on top of the Penn side of the Concord Invitational with decisive victories over both Huntington North and Lake Central. A rain delay forced the action indoors to the South Bend Racquet Club, which ultimately canceled the championship playoff between the Concord and Penn sides.
At No. 1 Singles, Quinn Lippert turned in a lights-out performance, dominating his matches.
Penn swept both Huntington North and Lake Central, although the matches against Lake Central were far more competitive than the scores suggested.
In doubles play, the No. 1 duo of Aaron Yoon and Josh Weaver battled through a tense match where neither side could break serve. Ultimately, the Kingsmen pair locked in and pulled out the win in a battle defined by strong serving. At No. 2 doubles, Jacob Kyle and Ben Stambaugh secured another strong victory, while Penn’s depth at No. 2 and No. 3 singles—behind Dylan Albert and Will Denniston—helped the clean sweep. Despite the weather forcing the event indoors, the Kingsmen demonstrated their resilience and depth across the lineup, solidifying their dominant performance at the invitational.
