Cross Country: Kingsmen pursue NIC titles

After a successful week at the Culver Invite, the Penn Kingsmen Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams look to keep it rolling going into the postseason. 

Penn will compete in the 2025 Northern Indiana Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 4.

The meet is at Ox Bow Park (23033 C.R. 45, Goshen, Ind.)

Admission Fee is $3 per vehicle at the Park Gate.

The Lady Kingsmen come into the Conference Championship meet ranked No. 7 in the state and own a streak of 16 straight Northern Indiana Conference Championships in a row, not looking to cut that short any time soon with their deep roster. 

The Kingsmen Boys come into the Conference Championship ranked No. 17, and a hot streak in recent years of 10 straight Northern Indiana Conference Championships in a row.  

The Lady Kingsmen scored an astonishing low 41 points at Culver the previous week, headlined by Lila VanHoveln who took third overall.  

The Kingsmen Boys won over top ranked talent with 70 points, headlined by Brody Lederer taking second place overall. 

The Varsity Boys are set to lead off at 9 a.m. at Ox Bow Park. 

The Varsity Girls are set to take the course following the Boy’s around 10 a.m. 

Junior Varsity races start at 11 a.m.

The Kingsmen are ready to battle to keep their streaks alive and set themselves up for battle in postseason.
