Boys Basketball: South Bend Riley outlasts Penn

Penn’s Caleb Coolman scored 23 points and Christian Bonner scored 20, but South Bend Riley pulled away from the Kingsmen in the final minutes for a 73-68 victory on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, in Northern Indiana Conference high school basketball.

Coolman hit 7-of-12 shots. The 6-foot-5 Sophomore point guard also had five rebounds and four assists.

Bonner, a Senior post, hit 9-of-10 field-goal attempts and connected on two free throws to score his 20 points. He also had four rebounds.

Ben Murphy scored nine points, including an NBA-range 3 at the third quarter buzzer.

Freshman point guard Mi’Kell Burton scored eight points.
