Penn Basketball wins at Plymouth for first time since 1999

Penn’s Kingsmen took command in the fourth quarter to defeat Plymouth, 79-67, in high school basketball action on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019. The Kingsmen took a 53-51 lead after three quarters on a buzzer-beater 3 by Carter Hickey, then outscored Plymouth 26-16 in the fourth quarter.

It was Penn’s first victory at Plymouth since 1999 (which includes break in the series from 2000-2001 to 2010-2011).

Noah Applegate led the Kingsmen with a double-double – 26 points and 12 rebounds.

Drew Lutz scored 23 points and had 10 assists.

Kegan Hoskins scored 12 points, and Beau Ludwick scored 10 points.

Penn (17-3 overall, 10-1 Northern Indiana Conference) has a chance to clinch a share of the Northern Indiana Conference on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at Jimtown.
