Boys Basketball: Penn overpowers Concord 83-44

Sophomore Caleb Coolman scored 21 points and Penn overpowered Concord 83-44 in high school boys basketball on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025.

Penn (3-1) plays No. 1 Fishers (4-0) on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Southport.

Coolman, a 6-foot-5 point guard, hit 7-of-11 field-goal attempts (including a 3-pointer) and swished 4-of-5 free throws. The All-State candidate worked for nine rebounds and dished out seven assists. He also had two steals and blocked a shot.

Senior Ben Murphy scored 14 points.

Freshman point guard Mi’Kell Burton scored 11 points and had three assists.

Makale Price, a 6-foot-8 Junior post, scored 10 points and battled for seven rebounds.

Cody Evans was 4-of-4 shooting, including a 3, and hit a free throw for 10 points.
