Sophomore All-State Candidate Caleb Coolman scored a career-high 34 points as the Penn Boys Basketball team opened the 2025-2026 season with a 63-53 victory against visiting Fort Wayne Carroll on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025.
Coolman connected on 11-of-20 field-goal attempts, including 6-of-12 from 3-point range.
Last year’s state leader in free-throw shooting (91.8 percent), Coolman swished 6-of-6 free throws against Carroll.
Coolman, a 6-foot-5 point guard, dished out four assists and battled for eight rebounds.
Ben Murphy scored seven points for the Kingsmen.
Christian Bonner scored six points, and Makale Price scored five.
Freshman Mi’Kell Burton passed for four assists.
