Boys Basketball: Coolman scores 24 and Penn beats Chesterton 68-53

Sophomore Caleb Coolman scored 24 points to lead No. 13 (4-A) Penn to a 68-53 victory at Duneland Conference power Chesterton in high school basketball on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026.

Coolman, a 6-foot-5 point guard, was 7/13 shooting. The All-State candidate also had nine rebounds and three assists.

Ben Murphy scored 13 points and Lucas Obermeyer and Christian Bonner scored 11 points each. Obermeyer was 3/4 shooting from 3-point range.

Penn is 14-3. Chesterton is 14-4.
