Boys Basketball: Balanced attack helps Penn beat Zionsville

Penn used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Zionsville, 56-46, in Boys Basketball at the Homestead Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2025. The Kingsmen finished tourney play with a 2-1 record.

The Kingsmen outscored Zionsville 17-4 in the third quarter to erase a five-point halftime deficit and gain the upperhand.

Penn outscored Zionsville 14-4 in points off of turnovers and owned a 11-2 advantage in second-chance points.

Senior guard Ben Murphy led the Kingsmen with 13 points, connecting on  5-of-7 shots, including 3-of-4 three-pointers.

Caleb Coolman and Makale Price scored 12 points each.

Coolman had 12 rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Cody Evans contributed 10 points to the Kingsmen victory.

Lucas Obermeyer scored seven points, and Christian Bonner snared five rebounds.
