Penn maintained its unbeaten record in Northern Indiana Conference high school boys basketball competition as the Kingsmen defeated visiting Bremen, 58-42, on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023.
Penn is 3-0 in the NIC and 5-1 overall. Bremen is 1-1 in the NIC and 4-2 overall.
The contest was likely the last one between the Kingsmen and the Lions. Bremen is leaving the Northern Indiana Conference starting next season to join the Indiana Northern State Conference, and will not be on Penn’s schedule. Penn leads the all-time series vs. Bremen 15-3.
Dominic Bonner led the Kingsmen with 16 points.
Trey Miller scored 15 points for the Kingsmen.
Maverick Brown worked inside for 11 points.
Penn owned a 33-21 halftime lead.
The Kingsmen put Bremen away in the final period, outscoring the Lions 13-4.
