Joe Smith’s 30 points on torrid 10-of-15 shooting ignites Kingsmen

Junior point guard Joe Smith scored 30 points and the Penn Kingsmen remained unbeaten, defeating South Bend St. Joseph, 73-56, in high school boys basketball action on Thursday, Jan. 6. 2022.

Smith hit 10-of-15 shots, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range. He scored 16 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter as the Kingsmen outscored the Indians 24-13 to pull away in the final eight minutes.

Markus Burton scored 19 points and dished out five assists.

Joey Garwood connected on three 3-pointers for nine points.
