Boys Basketball: Burton leads Kingsmen past Plymouth

All-State Candidate Markus Burton became the eighth player in Penn Boys Basketball History to reach the 500-point mark in a single season as the No. 8-ranked (Class 4-A) Kingsmen defeated visiting Plymouth, 67-48, on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022.

Penn is 17-2. Plymouth is 5-14.

Burton scored 18 points and dished out nine assists against Plymouth. The 6-foot-0 Junior has 511 points this season. The Penn record for most points in a season is 642, set by Rod Creech (1986-87).

Joe Smith scored 15 points and had six steals.

Joey Garwood scored 13 points and had four assists.

Trey Miller and Dylan Derda scored six points each.
