Baseball: Kingsmen sweep Riley in NIC opener

Penn Baseball swept Riley in its first Northern Indiana Conference series, 15-0 and 17-0, on Thursday, April 10. 

Game One was marked by an impressive feat. Colton Rerick and Harrison Haq combined to pitch a five-inning perfect game, striking out all 15 batters they faced.

To assist the pitchers, the offense pounded out 15 hits. Gavin Taylor was 3-of-3 with a double, Bennett Hartford was 2-of-3 with three RBIs, and Harrison Haq was 3-of-4. 

In Game Two, the Kingsmen continued their dominance with Dawson French tossing three innings of no-hit ball and only surrendering two walks with five strikeouts. Emerson Cowham threw two innings with seven strikeouts. 

The bats continued to stay hot with 12 more hits. Will Barnes crushed a grand slam and was 3-of-3 for the game, driving in seven runs.

Dalton Zultanski went 1-of-2 with a double, and River Pecina was 2-of-4.
