Baseball: Pelletier Brothers Together on the Field

On this past Tuesday during the first game of the doubleheader against Lakeshore, something that rarely happens occurred. Senior Catcher Zack Pelletier caught his brother, Junior Chris Pelletier in his first-ever varsity start.

Chris Pelletier had four innings pitched, allowing only 3 hits 2 walks, 1 strikeout, and 2 earned runs. Older brother, Zack Pelletier, batted 1-4 with an RBI single. Although the Kingsmen lost 3-2, the brothers said the game was still an awesome moment for them.

“Things did not go how I wanted them to I guess, but it was still fun having Zack catch my first varsity start,” Chris Pelletier said.

“It is definitely something that I will never forget. It is always fun catching him,” Zack Pelletier said.

This actually isn’t the first time these two have been out on the field with each other. This past summer, Zack and Chris both played together on the same travel team, Indiana Nitro.

Senior second basemen Colton Hudnall said, “It was a great experience for them to share. I hope that I can see it again.”

After this season, Zack will be taking his athletic and academic abilities to Huntington University. Chris will be a senior and one of the best arms for the Kingsmen.
