What do you love about your sport?: What I love most about running is how it motivates me to be better and how I push harder in not just running but school.

What is your main goal for this season?: My main goal this season is to be our number one and hopefully get top 50-70 at state.

What is your greatest memory from Cross Country during your time at Penn?: My greatest memory from Cross Country is when I was at state my sophomore year and I was right behind Max Malloy, one of the fastest runners around here.

What made you start to run?: Well, I started by running in elementary school where I did running in elementary and I then realized in middle school that I was pretty fast so then I started running hard and training hard to be my best.

What is the hardest part during a race?: For me, the hardest part during a race is after the 2k because I’m in the middle of the race and I am trying to maintain my speed and not slow down. The first and last Kilometers are not bad because I’m going fast at the start and finish so that will take care of itself but in the middle is where I really have to work hardest.

Who is an athlete (at any level) you look up to, and why?: It’s hard for me to pick just one because I look up to a few but I would say my main people are Liam Bauschke, Max Malloy, and Aaron Richter, because they are really fast, train hard and put a lot of effort and commitment into running and I want to be as fast as them my senior year.

What are your pre-game rituals?: Some of my pre-meet rituals are, I go to a pasta party the night before and go to sleep early. I also make sure to drink lots of water and I listen to rap music the whole way to the meet to get hyped up.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of sports?: Some hobbies I like to do outside of sports are, I like to play chess and video games.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gained from your coaches?: There’s a lot of very good advice my coaches give me but one of the best is, that staying consistent is the best way to get better.

How do you plan for your future in sports?: For my future in sports, I plan on trying to get a scholarship for a D1 running school so I can run in college.
