Boys XC: Kingsmen earn spot in State Championships

Penn Boys Cross Country earns State Championships spot

The Penn Boys Cross Country Team, coached by Tom Miller, will compete in the State Championships for the second year in a row after the Kingsmen placed fourth in the Semistate on Saturday, Oct. 21. The top six teams from the Fort Wayne Semistate advance to the State Championships.

Penn finished with 147 points. Westview won the Semi-state with 74 points.

Colton Shail placed 19th in 16:42.39 to lead the Penn pack.

Curtis Cornell finished in 22nd place, running the 5K course in 16:44.35.

Chad Piatt was 27th in 16:51.42.

Chandler Neal ran a 16:51.57 for 28th place.

Matt Long was 51st with a time of 17:16.24.
