Penn High School delivered a dominant performance in its meet against Saint Joseph on April 15.

On the track, Penn’s relay teams were especially strong. The boys 4×800 relay team of Weston St. Clair, Ethan Schafer, Kingston Pumel, and Gavin Stabnik captured first place with a time of 8:27.68. The girls 4×100 relay team also secured a victory as Kami Bauer, Brianna Brisco, Zoya Turk, and Ariana Martinez combined for a winning time of 50.41. The boys 4×100 relay followed suit, with Jaedon Parker, Michael Holmes, Eli Stith, and Rueben Rutland finishing first in 42.09. Penn closed out the relays with another win in the boys 4×400, where Braden White, Cohen Wysong, Lucas Carter, and Will Sidorowicz took the top spot in 3:30.98.

On the girls side, Lillian Mullins won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.95, while Zoya Turk took first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.06. Riley Holland led the distance runners with a victory in the 1600 meters, and Shreya Nayee added another win in the 800 meters with a time of 2:25.82. Arianna Balinnang continued the distance dominance by winning the 3200 meters. Ella Neuenschwander contributed a first-place finish in the 400 meters, showcasing Penn’s depth across sprint and distance events.

The boys team matched that success with several standout performances. Rueben Rutland sprinted to victory in the 100-meter dash in 11.09, while Braden White won the 400 meters in 49.90. In the distance events, Brayden Mainwaring claimed the 1600-meter title and Kale Grewal captured first in the 800 meters with a time of 2:04.51.

Penn’s field athletes were equally impressive. In the jumps, Ricky Gary won the boys long jump, while Daniela Bolster and Ella Myers tied for first in the girls high jump. Lucia Lozar cleared 9-6 to win the girls pole vault. In the throws, Haley Savannah stood out with victories in both the discus and shot put, leading a strong showing in the throwing events. On the boys side, Evan Wiseman earned first in the discus, and Cade Stout took top honors in the shot put.
