Colden Hernandez is a junior at Penn High School. He participates in four sports for the Kingsmen, including football, basketball, track, and rugby.
How is the team preparing to come back from a loss against the Mishawaka cavemen?
The team is taking the loss very seriously, and practicing really hard this week. Also, getting a lot of reps to get their craft to perfection. And the most important thing is to get their mindset right for this entire week
Who are some of the team leaders on the team and what can you take from them?
Kellen Watson, Cole Bennett, Malachi Evans. They have good leadership and they know how to pick people up when they are down, and they know how to stay positive.
What is the practice environment like?
The practice environment is intense and positive. Everyone pushes themselves to be better every day.
What does Penn football have that puts them ahead of other teams in the NIC?
We have great coaches, great practice facilities, and weight rooms. And I feel like that gives us an advantage to be great in what we do.
What are you most excited about going into your junior and senior years?
All of the games and bonds I make through football. And I just want to see the team win. I feel like that’s the best feeling being a part of that.
How has playing 4 sports at Penn High School affected you?
It makes me very tired but I give each sport my all. And It’s good having such a great trainer at the school to help my body.
Who is your favorite NFL player who plays your position and why?
I would probably say Jalen Ramsey because I noticed a lot of the stuff I do on the field I’ve watched him do.
