Maddex Reynolds plays Rugby for the Kingsmen.
How are you going to prepare for this upcoming rugby season?: I’ve been doing a lot of drills, especially in the offseason. I’ve been preparing my body to be the healthiest it can be. Me and the boys have been getting some touches in, so yeah I’m doing a lot.
What skills are you trying to improve?: The biggest skill is passing, you know everyone needs to learn how to pass and be good at it.
How do you plan on pursing a championship this year?: The main goal is always getting to the championship game and winning it. It starts with the team though, personally I’m gonna give it all I have but we need all of our guys to buy in and do the same.
How do you recover to play for your team and stay healthy?: After the games I go and rest my body. I take it easy after the games and rest myself for a couple of days to make sure I’m ready for the next game.
What do you think about during the game?: It’s a flow state, so our coach told us to be like water in a sense because it’s a flow state of mind. I need to just be and do me at the end of the day. If I think too much then I’ll over do something or underperform.
How do you want to be remembered after your Rugby career at Penn?: I wanna be known as one of the best, but I don’t wanna be known for hitting the stat sheets, I really want to be remembered by my teammates and brothers. I want them to say, “that was the guy who gave it all out for me no matter what.” That’s what’s more important to me, the brotherhood that’s formed in this game. I can give my all and do it all for my brothers.”
