Boys Track: Krutsch wins blue ribbon at Goshen Relays


Kevin Krutsch won the blue ribbon in the 100-meter dash in 11.2 at the prestigious Goshen Relays on Saturday, April 20, 2019. Krutsch also placed fifth in the high jump with a height of 6-foot-2.

As a team, Penn finished tied for third in the 14-team event with 72 points.

In the 4×800-meter Relay, Penn placed second. The relay was ran by Avery Richardson, Dillon Pottschmidt, Seth Jankowski, and Ricky Chapple.

Penn placed seventh in the Distance Medley Relay. Ricky Chapple, Seth Jankowski, Avery Richardson, and Romeo Gonzalez ran the relay for Penn.

In the the 4×200-meter Relay, Cassidy Allen, Brady Allen, Tye Zahner and Hunter Ryan placed fifth.

In the 110-meter hurdle finals, Vince Nierzwicki and Collin Mott placed fifth and sixth respectively.

Ben Boardley and Dillon Pottschmidt each finished sixth in their separate 1,600-meter final races.

In the Sprint Medley finals, Hunter Ryan, Payton Brockway, Cassidy Allen and Collin Mott came in third for the Kingsmen.

Caden Paquette and Vishal Turna finished second and third in the discus.

Vishal Turna placed third in shot put with a throw of 47-6.5.

Penn’s 4×400-meter Relay Team – Tristan Manis, David Obert, Braden Black, and Tye Zahner – placed fourth.
