Girls Volleyball: Penn takes third at Plymouth Invitational

Penn volleyball finished third at the Plymouth Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 29, going 3-1 across four matches.

The Kingsmen opened the tournament with a 2-1 win over Warsaw and followed with a 2-0 victory over New Prairie. Penn then fell to Chesterton 2-0 before bouncing back with a 2-0 win over Morgan Township to finish the invitational with a 3-1 record.

Anna McCullough led Penn’s offense with 33 kills, while Emily Noto added 26 kills. Carson Petty helped run the Kingsmen offense with 76 assists, and Kyla Hurley anchored the defense with 40 digs.

Despite the loss to Chesterton, Penn finished strong by sweeping Morgan Township and earned third place at the Plymouth Invitational.
