Girls Golf: Penn hosts Sectional on Friday, Sept. 18
Penn High School will host the 2026 IHSAA Girls Golf Sectional on Friday, Sept. 18, at Knollwood Country Club’s Meadows (East) Course.
Competition begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
Ten schools will compete for the Sectional Championship: Penn, Elkhart, Jimtown, Mishawaka, Marian, South Bend Adams, South Bend Riley, South Bend Saint Joseph, South Bend Washington and Trinity Academy South Bend.
Admission is free for spectators. Knollwood requires spectators to follow its dress code: no jeans, jean shorts or T-shirts; collared shirts are required. Tailgating and outside food are not permitted on the golf course. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at Knollwood’s snack shop. Spectators may offer encouragement to golfers but should not provide advice or rules information during competition.
The top three teams and the top three individuals not advancing with a team will qualify for the Regional.
If severe weather prevents the sectional from being completed, the scheduled make-up date is Saturday, Sept. 19, at 9 a.m.
