What made you want to be a part of the Penn volleyball community?: I’ve played volleyball for so long, and I wanted to be a part of the next level, which was PVB.
What is a strength of yours on the court?: I think my strength is recognizing when there’s a hole in the block and being ready to react in defense off of it.
Do you have any tips on staying on top of academics while also playing volleyball?: A couple tips of mine are, get your homework done as soon as possible, and do not procrastinate.
When was a time you were challenged in a set/game? And how did you overcome it?: I was in a serve-receive slump a few weeks ago, and to overcome it, I just kept trying and refocused.
What’s your mindset before stepping out on the court?: My mindset is to try my overall best and do not give up when things are becoming challenging.
In what ways have you grown as a player from freshman year to junior year?: I have become more vocal and definitely more confident.
What is your pre-game routine?: I eat a snack, get dressed, do my hair, warm up my arms and legs, the exact same way before every game. I listen to music the whole time during this routine.
If you are losing in a game, how do you keep your team’s spirit alive?: I try to cheer everyone on no matter the situation.
What is your advice for this year’s freshmen or upcoming freshmen about PVB?: To stay on top of things, whether it’s social life, homework, or just overall mental health. Also to always believe in yourself, even if no one else does.
