Bella Campbell is a Junior on the Penn Girls Varsity Soccer team.

What are your pre-game rituals?: I always have Jimmy John’s, fruit, and a Bloom every time, and I always pray right before kickoff.

Who is your biggest role model?: Both my high school and club teammates.

What is your favorite memory with Penn soccer?: Winning sectionals last year against Adams.

What do you love about your sport?: I love the freedom it gives me to be myself, and that it allows me to forget about the problems outside of my sport.

How do you mentally prepare yourself before a big game?: I make note of strategic things to personally focus on, but also remind myself to play freely and enjoy it.

What do you think makes a good team captain?: I think a good team captain is someone who can be assertive and direct, but is also supportive and uplifting. It is important to have a balance because it can help push a team to their full potential.

What advice would you give a freshman?: I would tell them to enjoy it while it lasts because the season and school year go by so much faster than you’d think.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned from soccer?:  I’ve learned to work hard through the hardship because eventually it will show.

What is your favorite sports movie? “I, Tonya”.

What is your pre-game song?: “You Broke My Heart”.
