Getting To Know: Jack Swanson
Jack Swanson is a Senior who helped lead Penn Kingsmen Boys Lacrosse to the playoffs last season.
When and why did you start playing Lacrosse?: I started playing lacrosse in fifth grade; one of my middle school buddies told me about it.
What was your favorite moment of last season?: My favorite moment of last season was winning the playoff game. I played pretty well, and it was a great time.
How was the new coaching staff a key factor for last year’s success?: I think the new coaching staff brought a different level of organization and defensive and offensive chemistry.
What are your goals for your senior season?: My biggest goal for this season is to beat last season. We lost to a few teams we shouldn’t have, and I want to change that. I’d love to be a captain as well.
How do you get ready for a game?: I struggle a bit with thinking too much before I play. I try and just focus on the game ahead and nothing else.
What is your favorite part of playing Lacrosse?: It’s amazing to just be with you guys every day playing the sport you love.
What is the biggest challenge that you have faced while playing Lacrosse?: The biggest challenge I probably faced was being undersized freshman year. Helped me learn to play without it, though.
What are your biggest personal strengths as a player?: I think stick skills and being strong with the ball.
Do you see lacrosse being in your future after high school?: I would like to play in some capacity during college, leaning towards playing club for fun.
