Penn Varsity Baseball Dominates Clay

Penn Baseball dominated Clay, winning by a score of 18-0 in five innings.

The win was headlined by pitcher Chris Pelletier, who pitched a one-hit shutout with a total of 8 strikeouts.

Junior Austin Eysol said, “We hit the ball really well as a team and Chris pitched a great game on the mound.”

All around the team, there was success. Another standout player was Evan Tuesley, who hit a homer and a double. He ended the night with 4 RBIs. Adam Lehmann and Colton Hudnall both had 3 hits and drove in 3 and 2 runs respectively.

Junior Casey Fin had this to say about the team’s performance, “It was fun to see everyone on the team contributing to a win.”

Even though the team had a rough start to the season they have rebounded nicely to a record of 11-5.

Junior Hunter Morett looks forward to the upcoming games, “We just got to stay focused in practice and get ready for the next games.”

Morrett also had a very successful game getting two hits and 2 RBIs

Penn’s next game comes on May 1 against Marian at Penn High School’s Jordan Varsity Baseball Field.
