After a long day of classes at Penn High School, junior Logan Warner heads straight to the gym.
As a starting varsity outside hitter on the Boys Volleyball Team, his day is far from over.
Warner has been playing volleyball for over three years, but this season is different.
Earning a starting spot on varsity is a big achievement, especially while taking challenging classes. For him, the hardest part isn’t always the sport — it’s keeping up with school.
“It can be tough trying to balance school and volleyball,” Warner said. “Sometimes I have a lot of homework, but I know I still have to put in the work at practice.”
Even with the pressure, Warner stays focused and works hard both in the classroom and on the court. His effort is something others notice.
Although the season has just started, Warner is already making an impact as a varsity starter He has been part of two Sectional Championship teams, and he wants to keep improving and help his team succeed even more.
For Warner, being a student-athlete is not always easy, but he is proving that with hard work and determination, it is possible to succeed in both school and sports
