Boys Track & Field: Kingsmen runners compete in Carmel Distance Showcase

Penn’s Distance runners will make the trek to Carmel High School to compete in one of the most prestigious events in the state that features the 3200-meter race solely – Carmel’s distance showcase. This race is known for having great conditions to produce fast times amongst Indiana’s best of the best distance runners.  The event is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

In the Freshman races, Penn will bring Kingston Pumel, Joe Teddy, Michael Wassner, William Bagwell, and Dylan Ahuja to compete against Indiana’s best freshman 3200 runners. In order to partake in this race, they had to break down the barrier of the 11:00-minute mark in the 3200. 

In the Varsity race, Penn brings Brayden Mainwaring, Brody Lederer, Ethan Schafer, and Nate Hannah. Each competitor had to surpass a 10:00-minute mark in the 3200 to be able to compete in this race. These runners will take on Indiana’s best, such as Westview’s Noah Bontrager, who has multiple state titles and a national championship to his name from this past indoor season.  

This event is sure to be thrilling and produce some impressive marks and new personal bests.
