Boys Track & Field: Kingsmen Prevail in Warsaw Relays
Penn places first at talent-rich Truex Invite
Penn’s balance across sprinting, distance, relays, and field events proved decisive as the Kingsmen place first in the talent-rich Warsaw Max Truex Invitational on Friday, May 1.
Penn won the title with 110.3 points. Host Warsaw was second with 100 points.
KINGSMEN HIGHLIGHTS:
- Reuben Rutland led the way with a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash (10.79) and was on the record-setting 4×100 meter relay team.
- Braden White added another individual title in the 400-meter dash (50.20).
- The 4×100 relay team (Da’Marien Peck, Michael Holmes, Chance Smith, Rutland) delivered a winning performance in 42.34, which was a meet record
- Sprints: Jaedon Parker (2nd in 100) and Chance Smith (top finish in 200 heat) added crucial points.
- Distance: Brody Lederer (2nd, 3200) and Nate Hannah (top-5) gave Penn valuable distance scoring.
- Middle Distance: Ethan Schafer (3rd, 800) and strong relay legs contributed to team scoring.
