Leading the way were Penn’s First Team All-NIC selections. The Kingsmen’s 3200-meter relay team of Abhijay Masetty, Kingston Pumel, Kale Grewal and Ethan Schafer captured conference honors with a winning time of 8:13.90.

Braden White earned First Team recognition in the 400-meter dash after winning the event in 49.88 seconds, while Penn’s 1600-meter relay team of Lucas Carter, Michael Holmes, Eli Stith and Braden White also secured First Team honors with a championship time of 3:25.67.

In the field events, Cade Stout was a double First Team All-Conference selection. He won the discus with a throw of 159 feet, 3 inches and also captured the shot put title with a mark of 49 feet, 1½ inches.

Penn’s Second Team All-Conference selections included Brody Lederer in the 3200-meter run, James Heintzelman in the 110-meter high hurdles, Brayden Mainwaring in the 1600-meter run, Ethan Schafer in the 800-meter run, Chance Smith in the 200-meter dash, Gavin Jozwiak in the pole vault and Jackson Grenert in the shot put.

The Kingsmen also earned Second Team honors in the 400-meter relay as Jaedon Parker, Michael Holmes, Chance Smith and Reuben Rutland finished second in a tightly contested race.

Penn athletes receiving Honorable Mention recognition included Noah Hoppers (110 hurdles and 300 hurdles), Reuben Rutland (100-meter dash), Lucas Carter (400-meter dash), Evan Wiseman (discus), Jackson Hummel (high jump) and Jaedon Parker (long jump).

Penn’s depth and balance across both the track and field events were key factors in the Kingsmen capturing the NIC team championship by a wide margin, finishing ahead of runner-up St. Joseph.
