Cross Country: Penn wins Tom Miller Hokum Karem
Brody Lederer and Ethan Schafer led Penn to victory at Elm Road Elementary with a time of 30:03. They finished second overall, and Penn walked away with a team score of 12. The girls’ team also won with a score of 12.
Jacob Sullivan and Michael Wassner scored in second place for Penn and fourth place overall with a time of 30:18, followed closely behind by Nathaniel Hannah and Caleb Hubbard, rounding out Penn’s top 3 in sixth overall.
The individual Penn girls finished in 3rd, fourth, and 5th place overall. Mishawaka and Valpo shared a score of 26 in second and third place in the boys’ race, respectively, while Mishawaka boasted better average scoring times. Chesterton and CGA trailed the girls’ team with scores of 18 and 35, respectively.
Penn races in Lafayette this Saturday at the Harrison Invitational.
