Class 6-A Indiana powers Penn High School and Carroll (Fort Wayne) have agreed to a four-year football series that will bring the two programs together each season from 2028 through 2031.
The series will feature Varsity games on Friday nights, with the schools alternating home sites each season.
Penn and Carroll Freshman and Junior Varsity teams will meet the following day at the opposite site.
The series opportunity was created by the Northern Indiana Conference moving to a six-game rotating conference schedule in 2028. The current seven-game NIC schedule in which teams play all conference members will be discontinued after the 2027 season.
Penn will host the first varsity matchup on Friday, Sept. 1, 2028, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Carroll will host the Kingsmen the following season on Friday, Aug. 31, 2029, also at 7:30 p.m.
The series returns to Penn on Friday, Sept. 6, 2030, before concluding its current four-year agreement at Carroll on Friday, Sept. 5, 2031. Both games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Penn is currently No. 6 in the state, and Carroll is ranked No. 8
