Penn High School’s girls track and field team showcased its depth and talent throughout the Northern Indiana Conference season, earning an impressive collection of All-Conference honors. Conference honors are determined by the conference meet.
Leading the way were Penn’s First Team All-NIC selections. The Kingsmen’s 3200-meter relay team of Arianna Balinnang, Gabby Smith, Riley Holland and Shreya Nayee earned conference championship honors with a winning time of 9:37.35. Distance standout Lila Van Hoveln was a two-time First Team All-Conference performer, winning both the 1600-meter run (5:12.18) and the 3200-meter run (10:59.83).
Penn also claimed First Team honors in the 800-meter run, where Arianna Balinnang captured the conference title in 2:23.62. The 1600-meter relay team of Kami Bauer, Quinn Driscoll, Aubrey Pfeifer and Zoya Turk earned First Team recognition after winning the event in 4:08.44. In the field events, Haley Savannah secured First Team honors by winning the discus with a throw of 119 feet, 1 inch.
Penn’s Second Team All-Conference selections included Shreya Nayee in the 3200-meter run, Calihan Lederer in the 1600-meter run, Daniela Bolster in the high jump, Lauren Arevalo in the pole vault and Haley Savannah in the shot put.
Additional Honorable Mention honors went to Ella Myers in the high jump and Lucia Lozar in the pole vault.
The Kingsmen’s success across distance events, relays and field events proved to be the difference in the conference standings, as Penn outscored runner-up South Bend Adams by more than 23 points to secure the 2026 Northern Indiana Conference championship.
