Baseball: Head Coach Greg Dikos thanks the Penn Baseball Family

Penn Baseball Family,

Our 2026 season came to an end Saturday night with a 6-2 loss to Lake Central in the Semi-State Championship game.

Earlier in the day, our team defeated Fort Wayne Snider 16-1 to earn a spot in the final four teams remaining in Indiana high school baseball.

While we are certainly disappointed that our journey ended one step short of the State Championship game, I could not be more proud of what this group accomplished this season.

Our players represented Penn High School, their families, and our community with tremendous character, class, and determination. They competed the right way, supported one another through challenges, and consistently demonstrated what it means to be part of our baseball program.

To our seniors, thank you. Your leadership, commitment, and sacrifices helped make this season special. You have left a lasting impact on our program and have set an example for the players who will follow you. The wins and championships will always be remembered, but more importantly, you will be remembered for the way you carried yourselves and the pride you took in representing Penn Baseball.

Our final record of 26-7, a Sectional Championship, a Regional Championship, and a Semi-State appearance reflects an outstanding season. Finishing among the final four teams in the state is an accomplishment that very few programs achieve, and it is a testament to the hard work of our players, coaches, and families.

To our parents, thank you for your unwavering support throughout the season. Your commitment to our program and your encouragement of our players played a significant role in our success. We are grateful for everything you do.

As coaches, we are disappointed that the season is over because this was a special group to be around every day.

However, we leave this season with immense pride and appreciation for everything these young men accomplished together.

Thank you for an unforgettable season. Once a Kingsman, Always a Kingsman.
