Boys Track & Field: Kingsmen host Sectional

Penn High School will host the 2026 IHSAA Boys Track and Field Sectional, Thursday, May 21, at Everwise/Freed Field.

Admission is $8 for students and adults (online tickets service fees may apply), with preschool children admitted free when accompanied by a parent.

Penn will be competing with Glenn, LaVille, Mishawaka, Marian, South Bend Adams, South Bend Career Academy, South Bend Riley, South Bend St. Joseph, South Bend Washington and Trinity at Greenlawn.

The Kingsmen have won the Sectional crown nine seasons in a row.

Field events begin at 5:30 p.m., and the 4×800-meter relay is scheduled to start at 5:40 p.m. Running trials start at 6:00 p.m. The running finals will begin approximately 30 minutes after the final trial race, following the National Anthem and team introductions. Meet officials noted that the schedule may move ahead if events progress more quickly than expected.

The top three placers in individual and relay events plus any individual or relay team meeting the three-participant standard in the sectional finals of their event advance to the Warsaw Regional, Thursday, May 28, 2026.
