Dance: Jaya Wyche places first at State

The Penn Competition Dance Team excelled at the solo and ensemble state championship last weekend, located at Crawfordsville High School. 

In the Junior Solo category, Jaya Wyche took home the state title, also placing in the top 2 the whole season. Evey Weiss received 4th place, as well as her and her duo partner, Rylie Utz, receiving 2nd place in their Junior Ensemble. They snagged 1st place at all invitationals! 

Keilah Wyche placed 3rd in the Senior Solo category against prestigious competition. The Wyche sisters also placed 3rd in the Senior Duet category.

A total of seven soloists, including Keilah Wyche, Anna Armijo, Jaya Wyche, Evey Weiss, Rylie Utz, Emily Temples, and Jada Urankar, qualified to compete in the semi-finals round. A total of three duets, including Keilah Wyche and Jaya Wyche, Ashlyn Scott and Olivia Cantrell, and Evey Weiss and Rylie Utz, also qualified for the semi-finals round.
