Football: Penn beats Crown Point in thriller to earn Sectional Championship

Penn Football stuns No. 2 Crown Point for Sectional Championship

Mason Biernacki caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from Landon Hall with 1:47 left in the game to lift Penn to a 28-24 victory against Crown Point for the Sectional 1 Championship.

Crown Point entered the game unbeaten and ranked No. 2.

Quinn Watson sealed the victory for the Kingsmen (11-0) with a strip-sack and fumble recovery in the final minute.

Hall was 21-of-29 passing for three touchdowns (no interceptions). He now has 2,064 yards passing for the season.

Biernacki also caught a two-yard TD strike from Hall that gave Penn a 21-17 lead. He finished with 10 catches for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

Brayson Hurley caught six passes for 87 yards. He caught a 26-yard TD pass from Hall.

Brock Donat contributed in a huge way with four catches for 68 yards.

Colden Hernandez scored on a 49-yard run and finished with 97 yards rushing.

Wrigley Hull made 12 tackles to lead the Kingsmen and Kenny Welsh hit Crown Point with eight tackles.
