Girls Flag Football: Kingsmen open Sectional play against Riley

The Penn Kingsmen open the Girls Flag Football state tournament at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8, against South Bend Riley at East Noble Middle School.

The Girls Flag Football Sectionals will be hosted at East Noble Middle School Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 8, and East Noble High School Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 11.

In first-round action at East Noble Middle School, East Noble plays Fremont in the 5 p.m. opener.

The second game of the night is Penn vs. South Bend Riley at 6 p.m. The 5-0 Kingsmen beat the 2-3 Wildcats by a 35-0 score in the regular season.

The third game of the night is a contest between Garrett and South Bend Adams at 7 p.m.

The last game of the night is South Bend Saint Joseph vs. Elkhart at 8 p.m.

The winners of Wednesday night’s games will play at East Noble High School Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 11, at either 10 a.m. or 11 a.m.

The Sectional championship will take place at 1 p.m. The ticket prices for the games will be $7 per session, No School and Conference Passes will be accepted.
