Sport: Football

Andrew Biancardi is a Junior at Penn High School, working hard to improve and make an impact on the Penn Football team.

What position do you play, and what do you like most about it?: I play right tackle. What I like most is protecting the QB and winning battles against the guy in front of me every play.

How long have you been playing football?: I’ve been playing football for about five years.

What’s your favorite memory from playing at Penn so far?: My favorite memory so far has been spending time with my teammates and making strong friendships.

Who inspires you the most on or off the field?: I’d say my biggest inspiration is Penei Sewell from the Detroit Lions. He is my inspiration because he always pushes me to work harder and stay focused.

How do you get ready before a big game?: I usually get ready by listening to music. It helps me lock in and stay confident.

What’s the hardest part about being a student-athlete?: The hardest part is balancing schoolwork with football. It can be tough managing time, but it’s worth it because I love the game.

How do you and your teammates support each other during tough games?: We always keep the energy up, encouraging each other, picking each other up after mistakes, and staying positive no matter what.

What’s something people might not know about being on the football team?: Something people might not realize is how much time and effort go into preparation—film sessions, lifting, conditioning, and practices.

What’s one goal you have for this season?: One goal I have this season is to become a better leader.

What advice would you give to younger players who want to join Penn football?: My advice is to work hard, stay disciplined, and trust the process. If you stay consistent and put in the effort, you’ll get your chance to shine.
