Boys Wrestling Wins 43rd Annual Jim Nicholson Invite

The Penn Boys Wrestling team dominated competition in the 43rd Annual Jim Nicholson Invite on Dec. 15. See below for results:

1st Place Finishers:

• Achilles Kanaley really showed up today. His performance was on point, and he absolutely earned that 1st place spot.
• Kingston Chavez also took 1st place in his weight class. He had great technique and seemed to be a step ahead the whole time.
• Anthony Taylor was another standout, taking 1st place with a solid, all-around performance.
• Vinny Freeman took the gold in his weight class with some awesome moves and great control on the mat. He also got MVP.
• Malachi Evans had a great day, winning 1st place after a string of dominant matches.

2nd Place Finishers:

• Brady Harper fought really hard and looked like he was about to take the top spot a few times, but he ended up with 2nd place.
• Ryann Schmidtendorff was right there with the top wrestlers, finishing in 2nd place.
• Aiden Whitten showed a lot of heart and put up a good fight, earning a solid 2nd place finish.
• Leo Santiago had a strong performance as well, securing 2nd place after some tough matches.

3rd Place Finishers:

• Aidan Diaz fought through every match, and despite some tough competition, he earned 3rd place.
• Greyson Langreder had a strong showing and finished in 3rd place. He had some great moves, and though he didn’t win, he definitely earned his spot on the podium.
• Gage Peltz earned 3rd place after pushing through a tough bracket. He didn’t give up and showed a lot of skill on the mat.
• Charlie Henning made a solid run and came out with 3rd place. He showed a lot of determination.

5th Place Finishers:

• Greyson Gobel had a solid day and earned 5th place. He showed a lot of heart, but just missed out on the top three.
